A one-man company, and that is the whole point.
First Plumbing Ltd is run by Indrit Dara out of Harpenden. He answers the phone, he comes and looks at the job, he prices it, and then he is the one under the sink at five o'clock making sure the joint is dry before he leaves. There is no office between you and the plumber, and nobody to pass the blame to.
The work spans the whole domestic side of the trade: everyday plumbing repairs and pipework, bathroom installations and refurbishments, heating — radiators, valves, power flushing, underfloor — and the water side most people never think about until it fails, from mains and leak detection to pumps, cylinders, filters and electric showers. Blocked drains and emergency call-outs are covered around the clock.

Two bathrooms, back to back
The situation — Doing one bathroom is a test of workmanship. Doing a second one for the same customer is a test of everything else — turning up when you said, keeping the house liveable while the only shower is out of action, and being straightforward about what changed and why.

Central heating in a house that had none
The situation — Installing central heating from scratch is a different job from swapping a boiler. Pipework has to be planned through a house that was never built for it, radiators sized room by room, floors lifted and put back, and the whole thing has to be finished — not left as a building site with one warm room.
